John Krasinski's IF wins top spot at the weekend box office

Cailey Fleming in the top box office movie IFJohn Krasinski's family friendly comedy IF  starring Ryan Reynolds and featuring the voice of Steve Carell debuted in the top spot at the weekend box office, earning $35 million. Click here to read our review.

Last weekend's top movie, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes starring Owen Teague and Kevin Durand, moved to second, taking in an extra $26 million for an impressive two-week haul of $101.2 million. Click here to watch our interview with the stars.

The new horror movie The Strangers: Chapter 1 debuted in third place, earning $12 million.

The Fall Guy starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt dropped from second to fourth, garnering an additional $8.5 million for a three-week take of $63 million. Click here to read our review.

Rounding out the top five was Challengers starring Zendaya, taking in an extra $2.9 million for a four-week total of $43.5 million.
