In search of the American Dream, Jacob (Steven Yeun) and his wife Monica (Yeri Han) move from Korea to the U.S. with their children David (Alan Kim) and Ann (Noel Kate Cho). Jacob looks to start a farm to provide for his family. As they struggle to adjust to their new life, Soonja (Yuh-jung Youn), Monica's mother, travels over to help them. As the only Korean family in Arkansas, overcoming their cultural differences is difficult, especially for the children. Together they will adapt to their new lifestyle, and see their American Dream come to fruition.
