Had to leave because of air quality
January 13, 2020
I have had asthma since childhood and am now in my 70’s. I go to movies when there are few people in the theater so I am less likely to have to deal with perfumes. When went to see the new Star Wars film I started to wheeze in the hallway and it persisted in the theater even with a mask. I have a poor sense of smell but It hit me like air fresheners or harsh perfumed cleaning solutions. I had to leave without seeing the movie. Though you agent at the desk kindly refunded my money, I was disappointed. There is no reason to use fresheners if your ventilation is adequate and cleaners which are fragrance free and not harsh work just as well and are probably safer for your cleaning staff. You make accommodations for people in wheelchairs, the hearing and visually impaired, but make it difficult for those with respiratory problems to use the theater. We live right near the theater and it was one of the attractions that brought us to the area.
