I love the Metropolitan Opera HD shows. Thank you!

I wish that the movies being shown next to the Metropolitan Opera performance had fewer big explosions and very loud sounds as they bleed through to our Opera experience.

Rifftrax Specials

We like this Sterling Hgts. theater because they show specials from TCM movies, Rifftrax specials and other Fathom events. Like the new food upgrades too. We have been coming here for years now and usually meet up at the bar area with friends and other couples that enjoy these movies. We love the special discounts and saving we receive at the Mac Guffins bar. We usually show up an hour early and Liz who bartends there sometimes would be there grading her school papers or doing inventory. Missed her last couple of times we came in because the bar was closed during the week or different bartender was working. Like when she works because she would always help us with our drinks never asks for ID’s and was kind enough to give us additional shots and stiffer mixed drinks and charged less than other bartenders. Even write off a beer one time for a friend as spilled. No problem giving better tips for better service here. When AMC stopped allowing us to use our Stubs rewards a while ago now to pay for drinks at the bar, she takes our rewards number and run it through on other customer sales so we would earn 10 dollar rewards quicker to get free food that same evening. When asked about if the inventory would be off at the bar she just would always say who do you think runs this bar and does the inventory? How cool is that. With the prices so expensive at the bar our friends and us must have saved hundreds or thousands over the years by now.

Customer service is sub par

Sorry to say the last couple of times we have been in service has been awful. Not enough staff working to move things along. Lines are very slow, usually one employee during busy hours to sell tickets and in concessions. I see no Management helping. Also found out their best bartender left. Now service is slow at the bar to get a drink and drinks were made incorrectly. After talking to an employee they said moral is down and trying to save on labor with less employees. We had been going to this theater off and on for years but it is so hard to want to come back when everyone looks unhappy.
