Buyer Beware! Never buy tickets ahead of time here

June 13, 2019

Regal Cinemas in downtown Seattle will screw you over if you buy tickets ahead and are unable to go that day. I was sick the day of my movie tickets, but when I called that morning, Seattle Regal refused to give me a credit in any electronic form, but said I could pick up printed ticket vouchers in person. Uh, I'm sick, and not coming to the theater. I asked how long I had to pick them up and they said my tickets would be in the safe waiting (no time limit mentioned). When I went to get my $34 tickets, over a month had passed, and the manager said they 'threw my vouchers away' sometime the next day, or maybe 3 days. She had trouble deciding which. They do not tell you that on the phone. When you walk in, the employees and the manager basically say, thanks for your money, screw you very much. Do yourself a favor and join AMC Stubs. I would have been better off handing $34 to anyone with a cardboard sign outside the building.

Laughably small drinks

March 09, 2019

I really really want to love this theatre. I am a huge fan of the reclining seats and that they generally have a run of some more indie films that are harder to come buy in Seattle. This theatre is also close to my home. However, their new alcohol offerings are so ridiculously overpriced for so small of a drink, I honestly thought I was being pranked. I expect to pay a premium at a a movie theatre. I did not expect an $11 old fashioned to include a eighth of a shot of whiskey and take one sip to drink. The sip was mostly flavoring. Hoping that this was a fluke, I also tried a draft beer. This beer was so overtly watered down it tasted more like the memory of a beer than the beer itself. I'm assuming if I had purchased a bottled beer I couldn't be scammed, but my trust has been shaken.
