In this trailer for the Netflix series Altered Carbon, we see a body floating and are told "Your body is not who you are. You shed it like a snake sheds its skin." The consciousness is tranferred between bodies so that people can have eternal life. A dripping wet naked man asks people in lab coats, "How long have I been down?" He's told 250 years. Later, he's told he's the property of Bancroft Industries and has been provided with a body that comes with military abilities. A wealthy man asks him to solve a murder. When he asks whose murder? The man answers, "Mine." He learns that whoever murdered the man must be found, or a number of people will be in danger.
