In the Descendants 2 trailer, Mal (Dove Cameron) is overwhelmed by Auradon paparazzi. Having gone from “bad” to “good” in such a short time, she’s struggling with the expectations put on her. After an argument with King Ben (Mitchell Hope), she goes back to the island where she came from, where she can be “rotten to the core” again. However, her archenemy Uma (China Anne McClain) is jealous of all the good things that have come Mal’s way and she is determined to make her pay. When Mal’s friends travel to the Isle to get her, Uma kidnaps Ben and holds him for ransom.
