Airbnb, a vacation rental company, is looking to mix things up this year. Known for renting out homes to guests to relax all over the world, this October, they are giving horror fans the opportunity to stay at the iconic house from the 1996 film, Scream. From knife marks on the doors to the garage where Tatum met her iconic, yet grim demise, the house has been renovated to bring the home to its original glory, giving fans a kick of nostalgia with its '90s horror movie aesthetic.

If you're lucky enough to grab a reservation, for just $5 a night, up to four guests can spend one night at the Marin County, California home and are not only given the chance to explore the estate, but also a full blown Scream experience. David Arquette, who played the local sheriff Dewey Riley, will act as a virtual host to the guests, and will offer survival tips to make it through the night and survive any close encounters with Ghostface.

In an Airbnb press release, David Arquette addressed the guests, sharing some words of advice as Dewey Riley.

"Protecting the town of Woodsboro is my life’s duty, and I’ve certainly developed a knack for escaping Ghostface. As your Host, I’ll be keeping a watchful eye on guests to ensure no one gets surprised by an unexpected plot twist. Trust me, horror movies always keep it interesting, for better or for worse…"

Airbnb has created an immersive experience for the lucky guests who spend the night. With some of the elements from the original Scream, guests will be receive a virtual welcome from Dewey, the chance to explore the Scream house, a VHS movie marathon featuring all four Scream films, a dedicated phone line for contacting Ghostface, and classic '90s snacks such as Jiffy Pop and ice cream topped with Reddi-whip. Even though guests can call Ghostface themselves, the masked killer just might give the house a call too.

If the guests survive the night, they might have a chance to take home some Scream memorabilia, including a DVD bundle of the first four Scream films, Woodsboro High gear, and posters for the upcoming Scream film set to release in January 2022.

Horror fans will have three chances to snag a reservation at the home, as Airbnb will host three one-night stays throughout the last week of October, ending on Halloween night.

Don't worry if you're unable to book a stay at the house itself, as the screenwriter of the original Scream and horror movie expert, Kevin Williamson, will hose an online experience on Thursday, October 28, giving fans the opportunity to learn behind-the-scenes secrets of the franchise, cast, characters, and even plot twists.

Booking for both the online experience and overnight stay opens on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. EDT. ~Sean Olegario

Myself and 3 good friends are always interested in seeking out place that have mystery & mayhem. We would love the opportunity to actually stay in a haunted house or blood curtailing screams caused by maniacs. Please give us the opportunity to be involved in a real life horrible situation.
