Armand Lacourtade, a 43-year-old homosexual who sells agricultural equipment in a small town, comes to the rescue of a sixteen-year-old girl named Curly from a bunch of teenage boys who are harrassing her. She falls for Armand, much to the chagrin of her father, who complains to the authorities when Armand returns her affection. The two run away, with the police and her father in hot pursuit.
