Best theater in town....

August 08, 2018

Thank you SPRINGFIELD! My son was visiting family in town and went to the theatre. He then promptly lost his wallet- with $$$$. The next day realizing what had happened, returned to theatre and his WALLET was returned with all his belongings. Never would of have been the case here in California. Thanks for all the honest good people in Springfield!!!!

(Almost) My Ideal Theatre

July 22, 2023

I think the only issue I can come up with when it comes to The Alamo as a franchise is that it is the best movie-going experience as far as publicly accessible theatres go--so long as the staff on duty is putting in some work. It's rare but you will occasionally come across a waiting staff which is either overloaded (working a sold out theatre while understaffed or similar circumstances) or just plainly not doing their job, and this has been the source of my largest woes with this theatre. However, most of my experiences with The Alamo have been extremely positive, and any staff-related issue has been the exception, not the rule, as the staff at The Alamo seems to be pretty interested in giving you the best experience they can. The food is probably my favorite part. There's nothing quite like watching a good film while biting into a well made burger, pizza, or shake. It's honestly changed how I watch movies at home, and has even made me considerably more interested in expanding my cooking skills! The big issue is that I'm not particularly financially well off, and the expense associated with the food is often a big turn-down for me choosing this theater when I want to see a film showing. The (Almost) in this review title comes mostly from the cost--Ideally, I wouldn't have to spend a thing to come here, but that's an ideal for a reason I suppose.

Worst Theater experience or Food serivce for that matter Ive ever had.

May 07, 2018

We came today to see Infinity War! We stopped at their bar to grab a beer, the bartender up sold us a Bucket as last call had been called at 1130 it was 1145 ish. That made sense so I got a bucket with a friend to split which is 6 total beers or 3 each. So we were able to get more then 1 prior to closing the bar. Totaling 42.50 and a 5 dollar tip. So 47.50. Well what he failed to mention they pick up drinks in 15 mins. The manager Jenna came in and said hey I have to pick these up you have 2 minutes. Ive gave yous extra time as it is.. I was shocked. I asked What? Why? She said It common sense in Missouri on a Sunday. I said what is? Your bartender told us to get a bucket he didnt say chug them in 15 minutes or we will take them. She then said again its common sense I dont know what to tell you. Well I know exactly what to tell you Jenna. Im not from Missouri. I also run a business, but I dont allow that to go to my head and therefore treat customers like gum on your shoe. I paid $25(NOT 3D) for 2 tickets more then anywhere in town... 42.50 + TIP for 6 beers ($7) for all 6 anywhere else. Then had food, shakes ect.. pop corn. Havent gotten that ticket yet but at 11 bucks for 2 pieces of french toast, a 12 dollar breakfast pizza and over $7 each for 2 shakes, $7 Bucks for pop corn. Then had to buy sodas because she took our drinks. Which then couldnt be refilled because they took the machine apart. Aside for the utter distain for customers, and insanly high prices, here is my issue. I asked her if we could do something about the bucket like maybe pay for the 2 we got to drink a couple drinks out of. (thats still a 6× profit at 7 bucks a bottle per bottle) She said Im not going to do anything for you. Its common sense. For a 3rd time. So I asked her are you the only manager or just the only one working. She said I am the only manager. Id let it go or I will throw you out its the law I even gave you extra time. Wait. gave us extra time in the same sentence.. Sm

SCAM

June 06, 2023

This place charges extra for a quiet movie theater experience. I paid over $45 and the theater did not nothing to stop a group that came in late, talked throughout, laughed throughout, and were on their phones. Another group shushed them but no employees did anything. I raised a ticket but for over 30 minutes no employees too it. So I left, went to front of house, and then waited for 10 minutes. I closed out, tipped for the food service, but the staff insisted that I should have raised the issue. Total scam.

DO NOT ORDER THEIR FOOD!!!!

August 15, 2019

THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE FOOD AS ITS HARD TO MESS UP A MOVIE THEATER!!!! Do not order anything other than popcorn, shakes and drinks. Their normal menu food is garbage. I have been to this theater about 20 times and have never ordered food food. Well tonight me and some friends went there and my girlfriend and I ordered food from the menu. I got the Ozark mountain burger or whatever it’s called. It was $16 and I requested ketchup/mustard on it. You would expect a place that prepares burgers would have ketchup and mustard in their kitchen but nooooo they gave me a single packet of mustard and ketchup to put on my own damn burger. Also idiots at Alamo a single packet of ketchup is not enough for fries plus a burger. Never going back to this theater again, if you can’t put ketchup and mustard on a $16 burger you don’t get my business anymore and I’m never recommending this place to anyone ever again. My girlfriend got that $10 macaroni and cheese it was better than my burger but still overpriced and burnt all along the bottom and edges of that pan they had it in, use some non-stick spray or butter for god sakes. Do you have 14 year olds preparing food in your kitchen??? JUST INSANE!!!
