More supervision needed in theaters

December 14, 2022

I typically have a very pleasant experience at this theater. However, a friend and I attended the movie 7 pm showing of Spoiler Alert last Saturday night. We were seated in plenty of time before the movie began. Just wanted to inform you that there was a group of about 8-10 high school and/or junior high aged young people who entered the theatre just as the film began. Throughout the film, they were loud and disruptive. Threw popcorn and drinks at the screen and walls. On exiting the theatre after the film, we found a piece of what looked like a thermostat on the floor. We would have reported it to the management but did not want to miss the movie and frankly were concerned about retaliation from them. I worked in the movie theatre industry for many years and I know it is critical to supervise the theaters ESPECIALLY on the weekends when teenagers are likely to attend movies and cause issues. I hope that in the interest of continuing to attract the movie going public, especially adults like myself who enjoy the big screen, you will consider at least some periodic supervision of the theaters. I know everyone is short-handed these days and what a challenge it is to maintain your business.
